About the Bullet Each bullet from X-Treme Bullets features an electrochemically applied copper plating over a precision swaged lead core. The base of the bullet is also fully coated in copper. The process starts with a lead bullet that is extruded into wire. The lead wire is then swaged into a core. The cores are copper plated, then re-struck once more. Though not common in the industry, this restrike process produces a bullet that is more uniform, with a more precise diameter and a smoother finish for a better shooting and aesthetics. Restriking also ensures consistency from bullet to bullet and lot to lot. About our Ammunition All of our Freedom Munitions ammo (except .50 BMG) is loaded on our own Ammo Load Mark X (pistol) and Mark L (rifle) loading systems. Freedom Munitions uses only premium components and performs a variety of quality checks during the loading process guaranteeing consistent performance round after round.
