About the Bullet: X-Treme Bullets utilizes a copper plating applied electrochemically to a precision swaged lead core. The base of the bullet is also fully coated in copper. X-Tremes process starts with a lead bullet that is extruded into wire. The lead wire is swaged into a core, then copper plated and re-struck once more. Though not common in the industry, this restrike process produces a more uniform bullet, exacting a precise diameter and a smoother finish for better shooting and aesthetics. About Remanufactured Ammunition: Freedom Munitions operates a "like-new" process on remanufactured ammunition, using new projectiles, powder and primer to ensure the factory ammo performance that discriminating shooters expect. Every cartridge case is inspected for defects. Our Scharch Range Master machines are fully automated and each case is checked for any debris and pressure tested for any splits or cracks. Primers are removed, flash holes are cleared, and primer pockets are reamed to accept new primers. From that point the cases are acid washed and sized by our own designed machinery for commercial resizing to meet S.A.A.M.I specifications.
